Position: Senior Cyber Operations Specialist

Experience: 10 plus years in Cybersecurity Operations

Remote Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day Cybersecurity Operations (SecOps), ensuring proactive threat detection, response, and mitigation.
  • Implement and manage Google SecOps (Chronicle Security Operations) platform for monitoring, detection, and investigation.
  • Operate and optimize Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR) services for enhanced visibility and faster incident resolution.
  • Perform security event analysis, threat hunting, incident triage, and root cause analysis.
  • Develop and tune detection rules, playbooks, and automation workflows.
  • Collaborate with SOC teams, IT, and business stakeholders to improve security posture.
  • Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on advanced cyber threats and response techniques.
  • Stay up to date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
  • 612 years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity Operations or Security Operations Centers (SOC).
  • Proven expertise in Google SecOps / Chronicle Security Operations platform.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on exposure to MXDR platforms (e.g., Microsoft, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Cortex, or similar).
  • Proficiency in SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR solutions, threat intelligence, and incident response.
  • In-depth understanding of cyberattack techniques, MITRE ATT&CK framework, malware analysis, and network forensics.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
  • Preferred certifications: GCIA, GCIH, CEH, CISSP, or Google Cloud Security certification.
