Job Role: Backend Developer / NestJS / MongoDB / Redis)

Role: Backend Developer

Location: Bengaluru (On-site)

Experience: 2–4 years (SDE1–SDE2)

Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for a strong backend engineer who can build scalable, high-performance APIs and microservices for our esports + gaming ecosystem. You will work closely with founders, frontend developers, and mobile engineers to ship features fast.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable REST APIs using )
  • Design and optimize MongoDB schemas, queries, and indexes
  • Implement caching, rate limiting, and performance boosts using Redis
  • Integrate third-party APIs, authentication systems, webhooks, and real-time features
  • Own modules end-to-end — architecture, development, testing, deployment
  • Write clean, testable, reusable code following best practices
  • Work with product & design teams to translate requirements into backend logic
  • Maintain code quality, CI/CD, logs, monitoring, and server performance

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of , NestJS or
  • Hands-on with MongoDB (indexes, pipelines, aggregation)
  • Experience with Redis (caching, pub/sub, queues preferred)
  • Knowledge of microservices, queues, cron jobs, WebSockets
  • Understanding of authentication — JWT, OAuth, Role-based access
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Familiarity with Git, Docker, and basic DevOps workflows
  • Bonus: Experience with scalable architectures (rate limiters, failovers, queues)

Good to Have

  • Experience with gaming/esports/social platforms
  • Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure
  • Experience writing automated tests (Jest, Mocha, etc.)
  • NestJS Preferred
