Job Title: Manual Test Engineer / Senior Test Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Test Engineer with 4–9 years of experience to join our QA team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of software testing concepts, test design techniques, and hands-on experience in executing test cases to ensure product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and design documents to create detailed test cases.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
  • Prepare and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
  • Execute test cases, log defects in bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, HP ALM), and track them to closure.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Ensure quality standards and processes are followed throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC / STLC).
  • Participate in review meetings and provide input for continuous improvement.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4–9 years of proven experience in Manual Testing.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
  • Experience in test case design, execution, and defect management.
  • Hands-on experience with test management and bug tracking tools (JIRA, QC, ALM, or similar).
  • Knowledge of database testing (SQL queries).
  • Experience in testing web applications, mobile apps, or enterprise applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

Good to Have (Optional):

  • Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, UFT) – basic understanding.
  • Knowledge of API testing (Postman, SoapUI).
  • Domain expertise in Banking, Telecom, Healthcare, or Retail.
