Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the housekeeping team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are clean, well-maintained, and meet health and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities to ensure cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., front office, maintenance, F&B) to address guest needs and operational issues.
  • Handle guest complaints and requests related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets and control expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
  • Maintain records related to housekeeping operations, including staff attendance, supply usage, and maintenance issues.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality Management is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 35 years as housekeeper role, preferably in a hotel or resort.
  • Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with housekeeping software and inventory systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
