About the RoleWe are seeking a seasoned Senior Oracle/SQL Database Administrator (DBA) with 7 years of hands-on experience in managing and optimizing enterprise-level databases. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Oracle (11g/12c/19c), Microsoft SQL Server, and Informatica PowerCenter, with a strong focus on database performance, reliability, and security. This role requires a proactive problem solver who can manage critical systems and support business continuity through expert database administration and ETL integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain high-performance Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Lead performance tuning, query optimization, and index management initiatives.
• Design and implement robust backup and recovery strategies.
• Develop, review, and optimize SQL scripts, stored procedures, and automation workflows.
• Manage full lifecycle database administration including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
• Oversee Informatica PowerCenter administration: installation, configuration (Repository Server, Integration Services, Domain), and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot complex database and ETL issues, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data integration, analytics, and reporting needs.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Oracle database administration (11g/12c/19c).
• Proven expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including:
• Backup/restore strategies
• SQL scripting, performance tuning
• SSRS report management and ETL job support
• Strong hands-on experience in:
• Database setup, monitoring, and user access management
• Performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Client migrations and database refresh activities
• Solid knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter installation, configuration, and maintenance on Windows servers.
• Experience in monitoring ETL performance and resolving related issues.

Nice to Have

• Experience with high-availability architectures and clustering.
• Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, etc.).
• Exposure to DevOps or automation tools for DB management and Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
