Microsoft's Devices Team is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team driving simulation-led design and product development across Surface and other next-generation devices. This is a pivotal leadership role for a technically adept and people-focused manager with a strong foundation in mechanical and/or electrical engineering, and a proven track record of delivering high-impact hardware products. You will bring deep expertise in mechanical and/or electrical engineering and lead a team of engineers working on multiphysics simulation efforts—including structural, thermal, and electrical domains—to inform design decisions and ensure product performance. Your leadership will guide technical execution from concept through launch, influencing architecture, driving cross-functional alignment, and delivering high-quality hardware at scale. This role requires a strong ability to partner across disciplines—mechanical, electrical, reliability, manufacturing, and software—and to communicate effectively with both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.
