Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer with 4+ years of experience to join our engineering team supporting an enterprise customer. The role requires strong backend development expertise, hands-on coding in Python, and the ability to work in collaborative environments to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications using Python.
  • Build RESTful APIs and microservices leveraging frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Integrate applications with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Optimize application performance and ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end, QA, and DevOps.
  • Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code with strong unit and integration test coverage.
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and provide mentorship where needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively within SLAs.

Required Skills

  • 4+ years of professional experience with Python in enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency in at least one major framework (Django, Flask, FastAPI).
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Experience with REST API development and microservices architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development practices.
  • Problem-solving mindset with excellent debugging skills.

Good to Have

  • Experience with asynchronous programming (AsyncIO, Celery).
  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Prior experience in Agile/Scrum-based projects.

Education

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
