Design Engineer Pump

Location: Mumbai

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is essential for developing precise designs, calculations, and drawings for a variety of components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in design calculations, material selection, and creating component-level, machining, and fabrication drawings. Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling, AutoCAD 2D drafting, and BOM release on SAP is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design & Development:

  2. Create 3D models in SolidWorks and 2D drawings in AutoCAD.

  3. Perform design calculations and select materials to meet project specifications.

  4. Technical Drawings:

  5. Develop component, machining, and fabrication drawings for production.

  6. Ensure designs meet quality standards and project requirements.

  7. BOM Management:

  8. Prepare and release accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) in SAP for production.

  9. Update BOMs as needed to reflect design changes and revisions.

  10. Collaboration & Support:

  11. Work with cross-functional teams to optimize designs and support manufacturing.

  12. Provide technical support and resolve design issues during production.

  13. Documentation:

  14. Maintain records of design iterations, calculations, and testing to ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling and AutoCAD 2D drafting.

  • Strong knowledge of design calculations, material selection, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

  • Familiarity with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) in SolidWorks or equivalent software is a plus.

  • Key Competencies:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with an analytical approach to design.

  • Strong communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously
