Role Overview

As a DevOps Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure to support our healthcare solutions. You will collaborate with development, operations, and product teams to automate processes, streamline deployments, and ensure high system reliability, security, and compliance. This is a hands-on technical role that offers the opportunity to shape digital health platforms seamlessly and securely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain GCP cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient application deployment, integration, and testing.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to enable smooth code releases and environment provisioning.
  • Monitor application and infrastructure health, performance, and security using GCP-native monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Stackdriver, Cloud Monitoring).
  • Automate recurring operational tasks to minimize manual intervention.
  • Perform root cause analysis of production issues, providing timely incident resolution and implementing long-term fixes.
  • Enforce security practices and ensure HIPAA and industry compliance within all cloud-based processes and environments.
  • Containerize applications using Docker; orchestrate containers through Kubernetes (GKE) or equivalent.
  • Document configuration, processes, and troubleshooting guides for ongoing maintenance.
  • Stay current with GCP best practices and proactively recommend improvements that align with our healthcare mission12.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-4 years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience, preferably in healthcare or regulated industries.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – compute, storage, networking, IAM, security, monitoring, etc.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts with hands-on work in Cloud Build, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or equivalent).
  • Previous work with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (GKE/Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with security, compliance, and GCP IAM.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with healthcare systems, HIPAA compliance, or security-sensitive environments.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and modern DevOps practices.
  • Google Cloud Professional certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer).
