Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Regulatory Compliance:

  2. Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines, including environmental, labor, health, and safety standards.

  3. Monitoring and Administration of all social Audit and security audits as per customer protocol in a timely manner.
  4. Stay updated on changes in regulations pertaining to labours, Statutory, customer compliance related to customer social audit and communicate implications to management.

  5. Collaborate with legal advisors to mitigate legal risks. (Case Basis)

  6. Quality Management System (QMS):

  7. Maintain and oversee the implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and other relevant management systems.

  8. Monitor and review the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure it meets all internal and external requirements. (Currently not done)
  9. Lead the internal audit process to ensure compliance with established standards.

  10. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for continuous improvement.

  11. Management Representative (MR) Responsibilities:

  12. Act as the primary point of contact for Customer Compliances, certification bodies, including managing relationships with auditors and overseeing external audits.

  13. Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements, standards, and best practices.

  14. Represent the organization in matters related to Social and Security compliance during internal and external meetings.

  15. Document Control & Reporting:

  16. Ensure effective document control procedures are in place and regularly reviewed to maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all compliance-related activities.

  17. Provide monthly/quarterly reports on compliance status, non-conformance issues, and audit results to senior management. Environmental & Safety Compliance:

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Labor Law / Legal, HR, Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in compliance, quality management, or a similar role within manufacturing, preferably in the paper or stationery industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.).
  • Excellent understanding of legal requirements relevant to the manufacturing industry (OSHA, environmental laws, etc.).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Certified Lead Auditor for ISO standards is a plus.
  • Hands on Experience in handling various third-party export customer audit such as BSCI, SMETA, CTPAT, SCAN, WCA, GSV, Technical Audits, Safety Audits, etc.
