Key ResponsibilitiesSales and business development
- Develop and execute business strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the agency channel within the assigned area.
- Drive business generation for motor insurance products, both OEM and non-OEM, ensuring the right product mix is maintained.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay informed on market trends.
- Own the profit and loss (P&L) for the area and manage the budget effectively.
Team leadership and management
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales managers and advisors to achieve their individual and collective sales targets.
- Set clear performance goals for the team and provide regular feedback and performance reviews.
- Foster a high-performance culture within the team and build a pipeline of future leaders.
Recruitment and training
- Drive the recruitment and onboarding of a network of insurance advisors or agents in the assigned territory.
- Provide regular training and skill development sessions to the agency force on product knowledge, sales techniques, and market trends.
- Ensure that all agents are properly licensed and comply with regulatory guidelines.
Agency relationship management
- Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with new and existing agency partners.
- Serve as a point of contact for channel partners to address their issues and ensure a smooth business process.
- Manage stakeholder relationships by collaborating with underwriting, claims, and other functions.
Operational excellence
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics for agents and the team.
- Oversee business operations and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Monitor the renewal ratio and work to maintain a healthy mix of new and old business.
