Lead end-to-end delivery of a strategic platform software SOW for a Tier-1 SoC customer. Own program planning, resource & budget management, risk & change control, ODC security & OSS compliance, client engagement, and technical delivery across Linux/Android porting, multimedia, core BSP and system integration to meet milestone-driven acceptance.

Key responsibilities

  • Own delivery of platform software: Linux kernel and Android/HLOS porting, platform bring-up, multimedia subsystems (audio, camera, video, display, CV/DSP, sensors), core platform drivers (clock, IPC, storage, power), and system integration.
  • Manage build & release cycles, target-team responsibilities (power testing, debug/stability testing), and milestone deliveries to ensure release readiness.
  • Ensure comprehensive test planning and execution: sanity tests, xTS families (CTS, STS, GTS, VTS, etc.), telephony/IMS regression, kernel tests, performance and long-duration stability, OTA testing and automation enhancements.
  • Drive resource planning and onboarding for Graphics, Connectivity, Power, Data/IMS and test teams; maintain capacity and allocation across development and test.
  • Enforce ODC security and data-management controls (personnel checks, physical & technical controls, source-code handling, vulnerability management) and ensure compliance with client security requirements.
  • Own open-source compliance and third-party software disclosures (SPDX); remediate license or OSS issues that could block acceptance.
  • Provide regular status reporting to client stakeholders (executive summary, activities, action items, issues) and act as primary delivery contact.
  • Maintain risk register, manage change requests and acceptance exceptions, and escalate/resolve program-level issues.

Required skills & experience

  • 8+ years program/portfolio management in embedded/SoC/platform software with strong technical understanding of Linux kernel porting and Android/HLOS.
  • Hands-on familiarity with multimedia drivers and core BSP components (clock, power, IPC, storage, diag).
  • Proven experience owning large, milestone-driven SOWs or programs and managing acceptance & invoicing under fixed-fee models.
  • Deep test & validation knowledge for mobile/SoC platforms, and experience with device labs, device provisioning and JTAG/debug workflows.
  • Operational experience running ODCs or off-site delivery centers with security/compliance accountability.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Prior experience with Tier-1 SoC or mobile platform customers. PMP, Scrum or similar certifications; security accreditations (CISSP, ISO27001) preferred. Familiarity with CI/CD, automation frameworks, and power/thermal triage tools is an advantage.
