Job purpose:
- To ensure the efficient, safe, and compliant operation of the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) within the power plant, supporting uninterrupted power generation by providing high-quality treated water for boiler feed, cooling systems, and other utilities.
-The WTP Incharge is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing water quality parameters, maintaining equipment, and ensuring adherence to environmental and safety standards.
Ensure safety, reliability, and strict adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Drive proactive vendor coordination and stakeholder management for timely project delivery.
-To ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation and maintenance of power plant utilities including boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems.
-The role involves executing preventive and breakdown maintenance, optimizing equipment performance, supporting energy management initiatives, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. -The engineer acts as the first line of technical response for operational issues and plays a key role in sustaining plant reliability and power availability for core operations.
KRAs -
Execute structural, equipment, and piping construction works.
Understanding the technical specifications, datasheets, and design documents.
Fabrication and Erection of structural and Piping works
Monitor daily construction progress and ensure quality.
Coordinate with contractors and ensure timely mobilization of resources
Review & monitoring of work progress, Resulting completion of job within time.
Resolve on-site technical issues promptly.
Review and prepare Method Statements and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for erection activities
Coordinate material delivery and inventory management.
Allocate manpower and equipment effectively.
Optimize resource allocation for efficient project execution.
Implement BC Global health & safety standard.
Coordinate with multiple contractors to ensure alignment with the projects EHS requirements.
Promote behavior-based safety and proactive hazard reporting.
Organize safety inductions, toolbox talks, and refresher training for workforce.
Encourage reporting of near miss cases and drive proactive safety practices.
Monitor plant equipment for improvement.
Ensure compliance with shut down maintenance
Maintain equipment history and perfect housekeeping.
To achieve trouble free operation of the Plant.
Document daily progress, issues, and resolutions.
Compile quality assurance and safety reports.
Ensure proper documentation of design changes and approvals.
Maintain accurate records of permits, trainings, audits, incidents, and statutory compliance.
Maintain legal compliance and consent condition compliance.
Maintain engineering records, reports, and as-built documentation.
