Role Summary

The Barista is the hotel's frontline drink-crafter — preparing high-quality coffees, teas, and specialty beverages while delivering warm, attentive service. The role blends artistry, precision, and guest delight.

Key ResponsibilitiesBeverage Preparation

  • Prepare and serve all coffee-based drinks (espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc.) to brand and recipe standards.
  • Create specialty beverages, cold brews, frappes, smoothies, and teas.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning.
  • Assist in menu updates, seasonal beverages, and tasting trials.

Guest Service

  • Welcome guests with a friendly, professional approach.
  • Understand guest preferences and suggest suitable beverages.
  • Handle guest concerns gracefully and promptly.
  • Promote upselling: pastries, add-ons, new beverages.

Station Operations

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene at the coffee bar and service area.
  • Ensure all machines and equipment are cleaned, calibrated, and functioning.
  • Follow hotel SOPs for food safety and hygiene (FSSAI standards).
  • Refill stock for milk, syrups, coffee beans, disposables, and garnishes.

Cash & Billing

  • Manage billing, cash handling, and close-shift reports.
  • Maintain records for wastage and consumption.

Inventory & Coordination

  • Assist with daily and weekly inventory checks.
  • Communicate stock requirements to the supervisor.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service teams for smooth operations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Barista, preferably in hotels or premium cafés.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee types, bean origins, roasting, brewing methods.
  • Excellent communication and guest-handling skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure during peak hours.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety norms.
  • Pleasant personality and customer-centric attitude.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long durations.
  • Manual dexterity for handling equipment and beverages.
  • Comfortable with shift duties.

Salary Range

As per industry standards and hotel policy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18, ₹20,000.00 per month
