About the internship

Join the Ekal Half Marathon team and learn how a high-impact social event is planned and delivered. This is a field-first internship: you'll assist with client meetings, prepare pitch decks, support on-site branding, and manage live event logistics — all while building a real portfolio of work for future roles.

Core responsibilities (internship/support role)

  • Assist in booking, preparing, and attending in-person client & sponsor meetings.
  • Prepare presentation decks, one-pagers, and follow-up emails for pitches.
  • Shadow and support the primary presenter during sponsor negotiations and client calls.
  • Support on-site marketing: brand setup, registration desk support, sponsor coordination, and volunteer briefings.
  • Help coordinate photographers/videographers and assist with live social coverage.
  • Maintain meeting notes, partnership trackers, and follow-up action lists.
  • Draft short social captions and help manage the content calendar as instructed.
  • Provide general campaign and admin support (vendor coordination, sample kits, merch inventory).
  • Learning outcomes & KPIs
  • You will learn sponsor outreach, pitch creation, and live event execution.
  • KPIs may include the number of meetings supported, decks prepared, sponsor leads followed up with, and on-site tasks completed successfully.

Requirements

  • Current college student or recent graduate (marketing/communications/management preferred).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills — comfortable attending client meetings.
  • Confident in building simple pitch decks (PowerPoint / Google Slides) and writing brief follow-ups.
  • Comfortable being on-site frequently and working event weekends.
  • Proactive, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced event environment.
  • Languages: English required; Hindi / Marathi is a plus.
