Role Objective
The Billing Engineer is responsible for handling all billing, quantity surveying, and contract management activities for infrastructure projects. The role ensures accurate cost estimation, timely billing, and transparent reporting to the Executive Director to support strategic and financial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Billing Management
Prepare and certify client and subcontractor bills based on executed quantities and approved drawings.
- Coordinate with project and site teams for joint measurements and quantity validation.
- Maintain accurate measurement records, abstracts, and billing documentation.
- Ensure timely submission of RA and final bills and follow up for certification and payment.
Reconcile executed quantities with drawings and contractual scope..
Quantity Surveying & Contracts
Perform detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and site data.
- Review and interpret contract terms, clauses, and specifications.
- Prepare variation and extra item claims with necessary justification.
Coordinate with clients, vendors, and consultants for all contract-related correspondences.
Reporting & Coordination
Prepare periodic MIS and billing progress reports for the Executive Director.
- Provide data-driven insights on project cost performance, billing status, and profitability.
- Support audits, internal reviews, and management reporting requirements.
Coordinate with the Planning, Accounts, and Procurement departments for project cost control and documentation.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure all billing and contract documents are aligned with company policies and project standards.
- Maintain transparency in financial reporting and billing practices.
- Adhere to quality, safety, and compliance requirements in all documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: B.E /B Tech in Civil Engineering
- Experience: 7–12 years of experience in Billing, QS, and Contracts within infrastructure or EPC projects.
- Software Skills: AutoCAD, MS Excel (Advanced), MS Project/Primavera, ERP/Billing Software.
Key Skills & Attributes
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure project execution and costing.
- Proficiency in preparing detailed BOQs, rate analysis, and cost estimates.
- Strong communication and coordination skills for inter-departmental collaboration.
- Integrity, precision, and accountability in documentation and financial reporting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to ₹80,000.00 per year
