About the Role

We're looking for an SEO Content Writer to join our young and growing team at Meraqi. As an SEO content writer, you'll work across blogs, website pages, landing pages, product descriptions, and social media copy — all optimized to improve visibility and engagement. You'll shape the brand voice for clients while ensuring that the content is both user-friendly and search engine-friendly.

You'll work to briefs agreed with clients or account managers, bringing creative and strategic SEO ideas to life. This role demands excellent writing skills, a strong understanding of SEO principles, and the ability to balance storytelling with optimization.

What You'll Do (aka Your Superpowers)
  • Handle multiple SEO content briefs simultaneously while maintaining quality and deadlines.
  • Conduct keyword research and integrate target keywords naturally into engaging copy.
  • Develop blogs, web pages, and landing page content optimized for both readers and search engines.
  • Collaborate with account managers and SEO specialists to align copy with client objectives.
  • Create compelling meta titles, descriptions, and on-page elements to improve rankings.
  • Brainstorm content ideas with the creative team and ensure copy supports visual storytelling.
  • Present draft concepts for review and refine based on feedback.
  • Proofread and edit to deliver polished, error-free, SEO-ready content.
  • Stay updated on SEO and content marketing trends to apply the latest best practices.
  • Assist in content audits, updating older content for better performance.

Requirements
  • 2–3 years of experience in SEO content writing, ideally in an agency or digital setup.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong grammar control.
  • Proficiency in keyword research tools (e.g., Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, Ahrefs).
  • Understanding of on-page SEO factors, metadata, and content optimization best practices.
  • Ability to adapt writing style and tone across different industries and formats.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with creative and technical teams.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Basic familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress preferred).
  • Curiosity to stay ahead of SEO and content marketing trends.
