Responsibilities :-

  • Lead technical SEO initiatives to identify key search opportunities for cross-functional digital teams, including engineering, design, and product for Sportskeeda and other owned domains
  • Oversee and manage the implementation of technical SEO projects to enhance search visibility, collaborating closely with engineers and product leads.
  • Conduct regular technical audits, identifying improvements, bugs, and fixes, and document them in Trello.
  • Deliver ongoing technical SEO training sessions for product teams and content audiences.
  • Analyze and benchmark competitors in the news industry, assessing various technical aspects of their sites for insights and strategic inspiration.
  • Stay informed on Google's evolving search landscape, keeping up with algorithm updates, new requirements, bugs, and emerging features.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 5 years of SEO experience, with a strong focus on technical SEO.
  • In-depth knowledge of the news industry, with the ability to interpret market changes and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, balancing SEO impact with user experience and audience growth.
  • Experience utilizing top industry SEO tools, including Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Botify, and Ahrefs.
  • Strong understanding of , HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP status codes, and web standards.
