WWF -Indiais seeking experienced professionals in aquatic biodiversity to join its GangaBasin Programme. The selected candidates will play a key role in advancingWWF -India's efforts to revive and conserve iconic yet endangered riverinespecies, including the Ganga River Dolphin, Gharial, Freshwater Turtles, andOtters. 1.Lead – Aquatic Biodiversity (New Delhi/ Bijnor, U.P)Asenior leadership role responsible for driving WWF -India's aquatic biodiversityprogramme focused on the conservation of Ganga River Dolphins, gharials,freshwater turtles, and otters across the Ganga basin. The position entailsproviding strategic and operational direction, managing a multi -disciplinaryteam of specialists, and ensuring effective implementation of conservationinitiatives.KeyResponsibilities:Lead and coordinate community -based conservation initiatives, research, monitoring, and citizen science efforts.Engage with policymakers, government agencies, technical collaborators, and research institutions to advance conservation objectives.Represent WWF -India on technical platforms, forums, and partnerships at national and international levels.Experience: 10–12 years in aquatic biodiversity conservation.​2.Specialist – River Dolphins (Bijnor, U.P)Bea part of the mission to conserve India's National Aquatic Animal—the GangaRiver Dolphin. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to species andhabitat conservation through a blend of scientific research, technologicalinnovation, community engagement, and policy advocacy in the Ganga basin.KeyResponsibilities:Conduct field research on river dolphins and their habitats.Apply advanced technologies to support conservation efforts.Facilitate community -led conservation and engage in relevant policy processes.Experience: 7–10 years in aquatic species conservation, particularly river dolphins. 3.Specialist – Freshwater Turtles (Bijnor, U.P)LeadWWF -India's freshwater turtle conservation programme. This role involvesdeveloping and implementing strategies for the conservation of freshwaterturtle species and their habitats, using a science -based and policy -informedapproach.KeyResponsibilities:Conduct and oversee field research and habitat assessments.Integrate advanced tools and technologies into conservation planning.Advocate for science -driven policies and strengthen stakeholder engagement.Experience: 7–10 years aquatic species conservation, particularly freshwater turtles.  Benefits As per the organization policy
