Job Summary

The Restaurant Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the restaurant, kitchen, and service areas. The role involves supporting the service team by ensuring all utensils, dishes, glassware, and kitchen equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and organized efficiently. The steward ensures smooth back-of-house operations to enhance the overall dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sanitize all dishes and glassware
  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen and service stations.
  • Dispose of waste properly and follow recycling and waste management protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP or equivalent).
  • Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
  • Support the service team during busy hours by clearing tables, replenishing water, and resetting dining areas.
  • Maintain proper grooming and adhere to restaurant uniform standards.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or management to support restaurant operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hotel is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and sanitation practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle moderate lifting.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8, ₹18,000.00 per month
