Freelance Graphic Designer

Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and motivated freelance graphic designer to help bring our visual communications to life. The designer will collaborate with our marketing, product, and content teams to create compelling visual assets — from web & social graphics to branding and print collateral. You will work remotely, manage your own schedule, and deliver high‑quality designs under agreed deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop visual assets for digital channels (social media posts, website banners, email campaigns, ads, video editing)
  • Design print materials such as brochures, posters, flyers, event signage when required
  • Create or refine branding elements — logo variants, iconography, typography, color palettes
  • Work with content teams to understand creative briefs and translate them into design concepts
  • Produce multiple iterations and incorporate feedback from stakeholders
  • Manage design files, maintain version control, ensure consistency with brand guidelines
  • Potentially assist in layout of presentations, reports or decks
  • Stay up‑to‑date with design trends, tools, and best practices
  • Ensure all final deliverables are optimized for their intended platforms (resolution, format, file size, etc.)
  • Communicate effectively, providing status updates and expected delivery times

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a graphic designer (freelance or in‑house) with a strong portfolio
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Sketch, Figma, or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of visual design principles: layout, typography, color theory, composition
  • Ability to convert a creative brief into compelling visuals
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to receive and act on constructive feedback
  • Comfortable working independently, managing time and deliverables with minimal supervision
  • Ability to turn around work in a timely fashion and meet deadlines
  • Good organisational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • (Optional but a plus) Experience in motion graphics/animation, UI/UX, or branding for tech products

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience working on technology or SaaS product brands
  • Understanding of web & mobile design constraints (responsive design, UI elements)
  • Experience with design systems, icon sets, and maintaining visual consistency across platforms
  • Familiarity with collaborating with remote teams via tools like Slack, Zoom, Asana, Trello
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS or experience working closely with web developers

Project Details

  • Assignment: On a per‑project basis (with scope defined at start) or monthly retainer
  • Deliverables: Defined per project — e.g., 10 social banners + website hero image, or full brand asset pack, poster making,
  • Compensation: Negotiated based on experience, scope, and deliverables
  • Working relationship: Remote; frequent check‑ins, design reviews. You will report to [Marketing Lead / Product Design Lead].
  • Ownership & rights: Final deliverables should be owned (or appropriately licensed) by the company; designer to provide source files (AI, PSD, Figma) and final exports in required formats.
