Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in Playwright, Python, and Selenium to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and Python.
  • Create and execute automated test cases for web applications using Selenium.
  • Design robust test frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Perform root cause analysis for test failures and provide actionable insights.
  • Maintain test data and environments for automation.
  • Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility testing.
  • Document test plans, scripts, and results clearly.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 4 to 6+ years of experience in test automation for web applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright and Selenium WebDriver.
  • Familiarity with Pytest or similar testing frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and DOM structure for web testing.
  • Understanding of API testing (REST/GraphQL) and tools like Postman or pytest-httpx.
  • Good grasp of version control systems (Git).
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Docker and containerized test environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools.
  • Exposure to BDD frameworks like Behave or Cucumber.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
