Automation Test Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automation frameworks, scripting languages, and testing tools, along with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API testing.
  • Identify test cases suitable for automation and improve existing test coverage.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and manual testers to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
  • Analyze test results, report defects, and work with development teams for resolution.
  • Maintain test environments and ensure test data integrity.
  • Continuously enhance automation frameworks for performance and scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 25 years of experience in automation testing.
  • Proficiency with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or TestNG.
  • Experience with scripting/programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#).
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
  • Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of defect management tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow, Behave).
  • Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
  • Experience in performance testing (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud deployment.
  • ISTQB or other QA certification
