Qualification:

Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent)

Experience (Preferred): 3 years of experience in calibration, testing, or maintenance of electrical/electronic instruments.

Job Summary: Assist in the operation and maintenance of the NABL-accredited Electrical Standards & Calibration Laboratory. The technician will perform calibration, verification, and maintenance of electrical test instruments as per ISO/IEC 17025 procedures under the supervision of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:


• Perform calibration of electrical and electronic instruments (e.g., multimeters, power analyzers, sources, oscilloscopes, etc.) using standard procedures.


• Operate and maintain primary and secondary standards such as Transmille, Fluke, and Yokogawa equipment.


• Record and maintain calibration data, worksheets, and reports in accordance with NABL/ISO 17025 documentation standards.


• Assist in uncertainty calculations, traceability documentation, and equipment maintenance schedules.


• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality manuals, and safety practices.


• Support internal audits, proficiency testing, and inter-laboratory comparisons.


• Maintain lab cleanliness, ESD safety, and environmental control conditions.


• Coordinate with faculty/lab in-charge for scheduling and workflow management.

Key Skills Required:


• Knowledge of calibration principles and measurement techniques.
• Familiarity with electrical standards, measurement uncertainty, and traceability.


• Good documentation and computer skills (MS Excel, calibration software, etc.).


• Attention to detail, discipline, and adherence to quality norms.


• Teamwork and communication skills.
