The Core Responsibilities For The Job Include The Following
Drive Technical Excellence

  • Architect and deliver high-impact features and platform improvements.
  • Optimize for scalability, latency, and compliance (PCI DSS, GDPR, SOC2).
  • Lead resolution of critical tech debt across teams.

Shape Product Strategy

  • Define long-term architecture aligned with business goals.
  • Break down strategic initiatives into executable engineering work.
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, and CS to align roadmaps with customer pain points.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across teams.

Grow Engineering Talent

  • Mentor senior engineers into leadership roles.
  • Lead knowledge-sharing and design reviews.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence and peer learning.

Act As a Cross-Functional Partner

  • Align priorities across Product, Compliance, Ops, and Sales.
  • Own PRDs and vision decks for strategic features.
  • Navigate trade-offs and drive alignment across functions.

Ensure Production Stability

  • Lead high-severity incident response and RCA processes.
  • Maintain and enforce up-to-date incident playbooks.
  • Drive a culture of reliability and accountability.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or staff/principal role.
  • Proven expertise in system architecture, design patterns, and scaling distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and security frameworks like GDPR, SOC2 and PCI DSS.
  • Experience mentoring and developing senior engineers into leadership roles.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with experience working closely with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with production incident management and improving system reliability.

Nice To Have

  • Experience working in SaaS or B2B product environments.
  • Familiarity with OKRs and metric-driven product delivery.
  • Contributions to open-source or technical community events.
