Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Ruby on Rails Developer with 45 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic development team in Kochi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver clean, scalable, and efficient solutions aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain robust applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and front-end developers to implement new features.
  • Optimize performance and ensure scalability of applications.
  • Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to best coding practices.
  • Implement unit and integration testing using frameworks like RSpec or Minitest.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to technical discussions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4–5 years of proven experience in Ruby on Rails development.
  • Strong understanding of MVC architecture and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL and relational database design.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Good understanding of API integration, background jobs (Sidekiq/Resque), and testing frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools.
  • Exposure to React, , or similar front-end frameworks.
  • Understanding of API authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT).
