Job Purpose
The laboratory chemist evaluates the density of explosive samples that are prepared in advance in cutting machines. The laboratory chemist must be able to work with digital scales and be able to determine the resulting density of the explosive based on measured weight. The laboratory technician must work independent of technologist and shall report into QA directly, however it shall consult and share the inspection results directly with Technologist.
Role & responsibilities
- Preparation of laboratory equipment for measurement.
- Preparation of explosive samples for measurement.
- Create and manage database and records of measurement.
Preferred candidate profile
Education Qualification:
Must
- BSc Chemistry
Desirable
- Knowledge of 7QC Tools and problem solving.
- Awareness of 8D Problem solving tool.
Relevant Experience:
Must:
- Minimum of 07 years related experience in volumetric testing and lab tests.
Desirable:
- Working Experience in Defence Sector
- Work experience in chemical testing of explosives.
