Overview The Automation & Manual QA Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications within an organization. This position combines hands-on manual testing expertise with advanced automation skills to deliver top-notch products that meet customer expectations. The engineer will be engaged in the full software development lifecycle and collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to quality standards. This role is vital for reducing the time to market and increasing the efficiency of testing processes, allowing for consistent delivery of reliable applications. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for developing automated test scripts, executing tests, and reporting on defects, all while continuously improving QA processes and methodologies. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute manual test cases based on software requirements.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts for various applications.
  • Identify, record, and track defects using appropriate tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand features and technical specifications.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure new changes do not affect existing functionality.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups and sprint planning.
  • Enhance and maintain test automation frameworks.
  • Review and analyze system specifications to ensure quality standards.
  • Conduct performance and load testing for critical applications.
  • Provide clear and concise documentation for QA processes and test results.
  • Guide and mentor junior QA engineers in best testing practices.
  • Support user acceptance testing and gather feedback from stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics to senior management.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging testing tools.
  • Continuously improve testing procedures and frameworks.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance and testing.
  • Proficient in test automation tools such as Cypress, PlayRight, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies and techniques.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools, such as Postman or SoapUI.
  • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
