What You'll Focus On:

As part of our product engineering team, you will play a key role in designing and building Locad's software applications that power our "Supply Chain as a Service" platform across Southeast Asia.

  • Develop new applications from the ground up, contributing to feature development, architecture decisions, and overall product design.
  • Participate in early-stage technology and tooling decisions to build a scalable, high-performance platform using a modern microservices architecture.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and pair programming—your expertise and ideas will always be valued.
  • Champion engineering best practices, coding standards, and a culture of technical excellence.
  • Thrive in a fully remote, globally distributed team where you have the freedom to work from wherever you're most productive.

What You Bring:

We're looking for someone who has experience working in a product-driven environment, preferably within a SaaS organisation, and is passionate about building exceptional software.

You should have:

  • Experience working with product engineering teams and shipping real-world applications.
  • Proficiency in
    Python & Django
    (we're open to engineers from other languages who are motivated to learn Python).
  • Solid understanding of
    REST APIs
    ,
    event-driven communication
    , and
    microservices architecture
    .
  • Familiarity with
    cloud computing platforms
    —AWS experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with
    fluency in English
    .
