We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our growing team.
Role Summary
As a Business Analyst, you will act as the bridge between business users and the technical team. You will gather and analyze requirements, prepare functional documentation, and work closely with developers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, you will be accountable for Quality Assurance (QA), ensuring deliverables meet business expectations and maintain high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), and user stories.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and communicate them effectively to the development team.
- Coordinate with developers, testers, and business teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Design and execute test cases; perform manual testing of web and mobile applications.
- Identify bugs and issues; log them in the tracking system and follow up for resolution.
- Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure business sign-off on key deliverables.
- Monitor post-implementation performance and capture user feedback.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and sprint planning sessions.
- Support product roadmap planning and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a combined BA/QA role, ideally within the financial services or broking domain.
- Proven expertise in preparing BRDs, FRDs, and detailed user stories.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), QA processes, and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Excel, wireframing/prototyping tools (e.g., Balsamiq, Figma).
- Ability to run SQL queries and perform basic data analysis for validation purposes.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, trading systems, or broking platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Mobile app documentation and testing.
- Exposure to automation testing tools or frameworks is an added advantage.
- ISTQB or other BA/QA certifications (desirable but not mandatory).
