Role Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Administrator with hands-on experience in Fivetran and ETL processes to manage and optimize our data warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and security of our Snowflake platform, while designing and supporting efficient data ingestion pipelines using Fivetran and other ETL tools.

This role involves close collaboration with data engineering, analytics, and BI teams to ensure data is accurate, available, and optimized for business intelligence and analytics purposes.

Key Responsibilities :

Snowflake Administration :

- Manage and administer the Snowflake data warehouse platform including user roles, permissions, and security policies.

- Monitor Snowflake performance and optimize query execution and resource utilization (warehouse sizing, clustering keys, caching strategies).

- Implement best practices for data partitioning, clustering, and data retention to maximize performance and cost-efficiency.

- Ensure data integrity, backup, and recovery processes within Snowflake.

- Troubleshoot and resolve Snowflake-related technical issues.

ETL & Data Pipeline Management (Fivetran & Others) :

- Design, build, and maintain automated data ingestion pipelines using Fivetran to integrate data from various sources into Snowflake.

- Monitor ETL jobs and data pipelines for failures and ensure timely resolution of issues.

- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to refine data models and optimize data transformation workflows.

- Develop and maintain documentation on data pipelines, architecture, and operational procedures.

Collaboration & Support :

- Work closely with BI, analytics, and engineering teams to understand data needs and support data-driven decision making.

- Enforce data governance, compliance, and security standards across the data environment.

- Provide technical support and training to internal stakeholders on Snowflake usage and best practices.

Qualifications :

Must-Have :

years of experience administering Snowflake environments.

- Strong experience with Fivetran or other ETL/ELT tools (i.e., Stitch, Talend, Matillion).

- Proficient in SQL and scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation and troubleshooting.

- Solid understanding of cloud data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and best practices for performance tuning in Snowflake.

- Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning of Snowflake queries and warehouses.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
