As an Advanced Data Scientist here at Honeywell, you will leverage your expertise in advanced analytics and machine learning to drive data-driven decision-making within our Commercial Data team. Your role will be crucial in transforming complex data into actionable insights that enhance our commercial strategies and operational efficiency.

You will report directly to our Sr Data Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Bengaluru, India location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the organization by utilizing advanced data science techniques to solve complex business challenges, optimize commercial processes, and identify new opportunities for growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy predictive models and machine learning algorithms to address real-world business problems.
  • Analyze large-scale datasets to extract actionable insights and support data-driven strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
  • Continuously improve existing models and explore new analytical approaches.
  • Lead innovation in AI/ML, including the application of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI (GenAI).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering or master's degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with large-scale data processing.
  • Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
  • Experience with data visualization tools to present findings effectively
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
    Expertise with the CI-CD process. Git-actions

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with SQL, Python, PySpark and distributed data processing.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks for collaborative analytics and model development.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience on snowflake & Databricks
  • Practical experience in developing and fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Exposure to Generative AI (GenAI) frameworks and applications.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Hands on experience of MLOps practices and tools for model deployment and monitoring.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
