Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Collibra Data Governance Consultant who will work closely with Business Analysts, data stakeholders, and implementation partners to translate business requirements into executable data governance solutions. The consultant will be responsible for configuring, customizing, and managing the Collibra platform across multiple environments while ensuring adherence to enterprise data governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts (BAs) and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, define use cases, and prepare them for execution

  • Act as a bridge between business, data governance councils, and technical implementation teams

  • Support Data Governance Council initiatives and align configurations with governance policies

Platform Configuration & Administration

  • Establish and manage asset configuration and hierarchy across three Collibra instances as defined by the Data Governance Council and implementation partner

  • Configure and maintain:

    • User management

    • Role-based access control (RBAC)

    • License management

    • Backup and restore procedures

    • Metrics, traceability groups, and lineage configurations

  • Set up platform access management, including:

    • User roles and responsibilities

    • User types

    • Access levels and permissions

Data Governance & Data Management

  • Apply strong knowledge of:

    • Data management standards

    • Data governance frameworks and best practices

    • Data Quality management

    • Data Profiling

    • Reference Data Management (RDM)

    • Business Glossary implementation and maintenance

  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and traceability of governed data assets

Workflow & Customization

  • Design, implement, deploy, and configure:

    • Out-of-the-box Collibra workflows

    • Custom Collibra workflows to meet specific business use cases

  • Develop and manage custom forms associated with custom workflows

  • Optimize workflows for approvals, stewardship, and governance processes

Integration & Technical Enablement

  • Implement data integrations with Collibra, including:

    • Collibra Catalog integrations

    • Collibra Connect for ingesting metadata from multiple source systems

  • Enable automated ingestion and synchronization of metadata across enterprise systems

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Web development technologies (XML, JSON)

    • REST APIs and API-based integrations

  • Strong understanding of API concepts and integration patterns (preferred)

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven hands-on experience with Collibra Data Governance and Catalog

  • Strong understanding of enterprise data governance and metadata management

  • Experience working with multiple environments (Dev/Test/Prod)

  • Ability to work independently and guide junior team members when needed

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise or consulting environments

  • Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Prior experience supporting Data Governance Councils or regulatory programs
