Technology Organization Overview
KKR's Technology team is responsible for building and supporting the firm's technological foundation including a globally distributed infrastructure, information security, and the application and data platforms. The team drives a culture of technology excellence across the firm through efficient workflow automation, democratization of data through modern data and collaboration platforms, and more recently through research and development of Generative AI based tools and services. Technology is regarded as a key business enabler at KKR and is an important accelerator to drive towards global scale creation and business process transformation. The Technology team consists of highly technical and business-centric technologists with the ability to form strong partnerships across all of our businesses. A dedicated Program Management function along with the Product Managers drive execution discipline across multiple technology teams with a goal to consistently deliver excellence serving our business needs.

Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to join the KKR engineering team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in both front-end and back-end development, with expertise in Python, React, , and SQL. As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of our web applications, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining web applications that meet our users' needs. A Staff Engineer who coordinates teams, drives cross-functional initiatives, and ensures successful delivery of complex systems. You possess strong technical depth and breadth, along with a sound understanding of system architecture. You mentor across teams and are an influential voice in technical and hiring decisions.

What You Do

• Lead development and architecture for full-stack applications using React, , and Python
• Set short to medium-term technical strategy and drive execution across teams
• Guide design decisions, reduce technical complexity, and ensure system scalability
• Oversee integration, CI/CD processes, and cross-team collaboration
• Mentor engineers and promote a culture of excellence and learning
• Participate in hiring and shaping technical recruitment strategy

How You Do It

• Balance hands-on coding with coordination and delegation of team efforts
• Lead technical design and ensure timely, high-quality delivery
• Remove roadblocks, optimize team processes, and engage stakeholders for alignment and collaboration

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient web applications using Python with an API-first approach and front-end using React / NodeJS.
• Implement back-end web services utilizing AWS technologies to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
• Optimize applications for higher throughput and maximum speed.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and testable code – with relevant and up to date documentation.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.
• Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative cross-functional team environment to define, design, and ship new features.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure that our systems remain cutting-edge.
• Engage and lead in cross-team collaboration for integration, CI / CD, understanding the business requirements, working directly with our stakeholders

Qualifications And Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full-stack web application development with Python and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React).
• Good experience with
• Solid understanding of web development principles, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong experience with server-side application development Python frameworks (e.g., FastAPI).
• Experience with SQL and database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Snowflake).
• Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Following Qualifications Are a Plus

• Experience with Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with micro-services design.
• Experience working with semi-structured data (e.g., JSON, XML, Parquet).
• Experience with caching techniques to improve response times.
