Mandatory Skills
- The primary role of the Quality, Risk, and Compliance (\"QRC\") team is to ensure that technology projects comply with legal, regulatory and policy requirements. Actions taken to ensure compliance, as well as the results of any compliance activities, must be summarized and communicated to the technology sponsoring partner.
- Additionally, members of the QRC team are responsible for assessing technology, including how the technology will be used, in order to identify relevant risks. Once identified, the QRC team is responsible for tracking, assessing and mitigating the risks. Risks must be summarized and communicated to the technology sponsoring partner for acceptance.
- This role involves acting as a liaison between different teams and entities within a larger organization, leveraging strong communication and teaming skills to ensure compliance reviews are executed smoothly and efficiently.
- This involves working closely with stakeholders and subject matters in risk and compliance areas in order to understand their feedback and perspective on the technology and related risks.
- This involves working directly with key stakeholders and the Business teams within Advisory to ensure that compliance reviews are executed efficiently, and that risks are effectively communicated.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
- The person must have a strong understanding of risk management, including how to identify, assess and mitigate risk, as well as understanding of control design and implementation.
- This person must have a strong understanding of common technology platforms and the common elements of technology solutions (applications, databases, operating systems, etc.).
- The person must also be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, ensuring that expectations and requirements are clearly understood.
- The person must be proactive in identifying potential issues and have the technical expertise and communication skills to work across teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
- This person must be able to work effectively in a team structure, as well as independently, collaborating where necessary, but able to manage their workload and demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks with minimal oversight.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree in Accounting, Information Technology or a similar field
- 4 years of relevant experience at KPMG or another professional services firm.
- Demonstrated risk management and client service experience, preferably with internal or external audit experience
- Outstanding verbal/written communication, project management, and presentation skills.
- Self-Starter who takes initiative, and who acts with minimal guidance and direction
- Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion at the team, department, and local office level, as well as outside of the firm
