The Opportunity
Job Description

Avantor is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Spartacus Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of SAP Commerce Cloud storefronts using the Spartacus framework. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Angular, TypeScript, and SAP Spartacus, with a strong background in building high-performance, scalable, and accessible web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including backend developers, architects, UX/UI designers, and business stakeholders to deliver a seamless digital commerce experience.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is typically required.
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline is a plus but not mandatory.

Experience:
5+ years

Certification

• Certifications in SAP Commerce Cloud, Angular, or frontend technologies (e.g., Google Developer Certificate, SAP Spartacus training) are highly desirable and demonstrate technical proficiency. ( Added advantage )

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend development experience.
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience with SAP Spartacus.
• Strong proficiency in Angular (v8+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience integrating with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) via OCC APIs.
• Knowledge of state management libraries (e.g., NgRx) and RxJS.
• Familiarity with Headless CMS and Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
• Deep understanding of responsive design, web accessibility, and

performance optimization.

• Strong understanding of version control tools like Git.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile teams

How Will You Thrive And Create An Impact

• Develop and maintain e-commerce storefronts using SAP Spartacus and

Angular.

• Collaborate with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) backend teams using OCC

REST APIs for integration.

• Architect and implement reusable, modular, and scalable frontend

components.

• Ensure application performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser

compatibility.

• Lead code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior

developers.

• Implement accessibility and responsive design principles for optimal UX

across devices.

• Work with Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver project milestones on time.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in development and production

environments.

• Stay updated on emerging frontend technologies and SAP Spartacus

updates.

• Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to maintain CI/CD pipelines.
