Role Overview
We are seeking
Cryogenic/Semi-Cryogenic Propulsion Engineers
to design, develop, and test high-performance rocket engines using
LOX-LNG, LOX-LH2, and advanced propellant combinations
. You will play a
core role
in building our BE-4-class engine, from conceptual design to hot-fire testing and flight readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze
cryogenic/semi-cryogenic engine components
(injectors, thrust chambers, pumps, turbines, nozzles). - Conduct
thermodynamic, fluid dynamics, and combustion performance analysis
. - Develop and validate
CFD/FEA models
for heat transfer, combustion, and structural integrity. - Support
engine system integration
with stage structures and ground support systems. - Define
test plans, instrumentation setups, and safety protocols
for hot-fire testing. - Collaborate with materials engineers to select
alloys, composites, and coatings
for cryogenic applications. - Work closely with guidance, avionics, and structures teams to ensure seamless
vehicle integration
. - Document designs, analyses, and test results for
compliance and investor reporting
.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's/Ph.D. in
Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
. - 2–6 years (Engineer) / 6+ years (Senior Engineer) experience in
rocket engine propulsion systems
. - Hands-on expertise in
cryogenic/semi-cryogenic engine development
(LOX-LNG, LOX-LH2, LOX-RP1 preferred). - Strong skills in
CFD (Ansys Fluent, OpenFOAM, Star-CCM+), FEA (Ansys, Abaqus)
. - Knowledge of
turbomachinery design
and cryogenic fluid handling. - Familiarity with
hot-fire test operations
and ground test setups. - Experience with
industry standards (NASA/ISRO/ESA/DoD)
in propulsion.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with
reusable launch vehicle propulsion
. - Knowledge of
additive manufacturing (3D printing) for engine components
. - Familiarity with
system safety & reliability engineering
. - Ability to work in
multidisciplinary teams
and fast-paced R&D environments.
