About the Role

We are seeking a skilled
DataStage Administrator
to join our dynamic data engineering team in Chennai. This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in managing IBM Infosphere DataStage environments and a passion for optimizing enterprise data workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain IBM Infosphere DataStage environments using Designer, Director, and Administrator tools
  • Monitor, schedule, and troubleshoot ETL jobs and job sequences
  • Perform performance tuning and resource optimization for large-scale data processing
  • Manage user roles, access controls, and security configurations
  • Handle backup, recovery, and migration of DataStage projects and metadata
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams for deployments and upgrades
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5.8–9 years of hands-on experience in DataStage administration
  • Strong proficiency in UNIX/Linux systems and shell scripting
  • Solid understanding of database technologies (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server)
  • Experience with job performance tuning and error resolution
  • Familiarity with version control tools (Git, SVN)
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with IBM Information Server suite (Quality Stage, Metadata Workbench)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
