Oracle Data Integrator Developer

Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Developer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex enterprise data integration solutions. This role requires 5+ years of hands-on expertise with ODI, coupled with mastery of PL/SQL and the Oracle database ecosystem. The Developer will be responsible for the full ETL/ELT lifecycle, focusing on optimizing data movement, ensuring data quality, and applying a strong understanding of relational database design to solve complex business intelligence challenges.
Core Responsibilities :
ODI Development and Architecture :
- Design, develop, implement, and optimize complex ETL/ELT processes using the Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) platform, including the creation of Interfaces, Packages, Procedures, Scenarios, and Load Plans.
- Customize and leverage Knowledge Modules (KM) within ODI to enhance data integration capabilities and optimize ELT performance.
- Manage and maintain the ODI Repository (Master and Work), Topology, and Security configurations.
Database Programming and Performance :
- Apply strong expertise in PL/SQL for writing complex stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages to support advanced data transformations and backend logic within the Oracle database.
- Utilize advanced SQL skills for complex data querying, analysis, validation, and rigorous performance optimization on existing ETL jobs and database objects.
- Work daily with professional database tools such as SQL Developer and TOAD for development, debugging, and operational monitoring.
Data Integrity and Operations :
- Implement robust error handling, logging, and job recovery mechanisms within all ODI artifacts to ensure the reliability and stability of data pipelines.
- Apply a strong understanding of relational database design principles (e.g., dimensional modeling, indexing strategies) to build and maintain an optimized data warehouse environment.
- Leverage excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to quickly diagnose and resolve production incidents and data flow anomalies.
Collaboration and Execution :
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently and effectively manage project deliverables in a remote environment.
- Collaborate effectively with source system administrators, data architects, and distributed BI teams to understand requirements and deliver integrated data solutions.
Required Qualifications :

- Strong expertise in PL/SQL, advanced SQL, and proven experience in backend programming within the Oracle databases.
- Demonstrated proficiency using SQL Developer and TOAD for database and code management.
- Proven experience in end-to-end data integration and ETL development lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of relational database design concepts and best practices for performance optimization.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively and independently in a remote setting while collaborating with global teams.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience integrating data with Snowflake or other modern cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse).
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and using version control tools (e.g., Git) for managing ODI artifacts.
- Exposure to DevOps or data automation practices using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell).
