Job DescriptionVisa's Cybersecurity Assurance team is seeking an Entry-Level Associate Cybersecurity Analyst who is eager to start a career in security governance, compliance, and technology-driven improvement.
This role blends cybersecurity compliance, risk oversight, and process enhancement with hands-on exposure to automation, analytics, and AI integration supported by experienced mentors.
You will work across monitoring compliance, vulnerability and risk remediation oversight, and helping to build/enhance tools that make our processes faster, smarter, and more accurate. The ideal candidate has a strong grounding in security concepts, is curious about technology, and thrives on innovating within structured frameworks.
Essential Functions
Cybersecurity Assurance & Compliance
Monitor, track, and report on vulnerabilities, findings, and incidents to ensure timely remediation or approved exceptions in line with Visa's Key Controls.
Learn and support adherence to security standards and frameworks (PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, Visa's GRC policies).
Partner with business and technology teams to embed security compliance into delivery workflows.
Assist in maturing governance processes for access, entitlements, and risk management, identifying opportunities to reduce over-entitlement and stale access.
Help maintain data accuracy and integrity in cybersecurity systems (e.g., CMDB, vulnerability management platforms).
Technology, Tooling & Automation
Assist in creating and improving automation workflows, scripts, and dashboards using tools like Python, Power Automate, Tableau, Power BI, and ETL frameworks.
Learn to integrate data analytics and AI concepts into compliance and risk processes to improve insight generation, decision-making, and efficiency.
Help build data quality checks and anomaly detection mechanisms to identify and correct mismatches between systems.
Assist in the development and enhancement of tooling solutions for proactive monitoring, alerting, and compliance tracking.
Support basic API integrations and process digitization activities to streamline security operations and reporting.
Contribute to improving security metrics dashboards to ensure they remain relevant and actionable.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Partner with internal teams to identify opportunities for automation or simplification of compliance activities.
Participate in cross-functional cybersecurity projects, sharing insights from both compliance and tooling perspectives.
Stay curious about emerging technologies—AI, ML, cloud security—and explore how they can be applied in Assurance.
Assist in preparing clear summaries of findings for technical, non-technical and executive stakeholders.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
