Role Description

We are looking for an AWS DevOps Release Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for managing database releases, building and automating CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring smooth, secure, and scalable application deployments on AWS. You will work extensively with MSSQL, MySQL, AWS cloud services, serverless and containerized architectures, while driving automation, monitoring, and release quality. You will also collaborate with teams using Jira for planning and release tracking, mentor peers, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure automation, and database release engineering
  • Strong expertise in MSSQL & MySQL (schema changes, query optimization, release management)
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services: Lambda, EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, IAM, API Gateway, VPC
  • Proficiency in CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, and quality gates (SonarCloud)
  • Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Serverless Framework)
  • Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker, ECS/EKS, ECR)
  • Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell and Linux Shell
  • Experience with AWS monitoring tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config, X-Ray)
  • Experience with Jira for release planning, issue tracking, and workflow management
  • Solid understanding of Agile/DevSecOps practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • AWS Certification (DevOps Engineer / SysOps) is a plus
