Responsibilities

  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing (VAPT) for web, mobile, API, and network applications.
  • Identify security flaws and weaknesses in software and infrastructure.
  • Conduct static (SAST) and dynamic (DAST) application security testing.
  • Collaborate with developers and QA teams to reproduce, validate, and mitigate security issues.
  • Prepare detailed security assessment reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Implement and maintain security testing tools and automation scripts.
  • Stay up to date with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and testing methodologies.
  • Assist in secure coding practices and security awareness initiatives across teams.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as OWASP Top 10, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
  • Proven experience in application security testing and penetration testing.
  • Proficiency with tools like Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Metasploit, Nessus, Nmap, Nikto, Kali Linux, Postman, etc.
  • Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, APIs, databases) and network protocols.
  • Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, CWE, SANS 25, and common security vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with cloud security testing (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CISSP, or GPEN are preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
