• Strong expertise in DB2/400, SQL, CL, and batch processing.

• Strong understanding of EDI transactions (e.g., 270/271, 837/835) and payer processing workflows.

• Experience in system integration with external partners.

• Experience with healthcare applications – especially in eligibility, billing, claims, or pricing systems.

• Familiarity with RPGLE or RPG/400.

• Experience using Aldon, or other change management tools.

• Experience using ROBOT.

• Understanding of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data standards.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments Good to have skill
Familiarity with software development best practices including version control (Git), code reviews, and CI/CD.

Roles & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance COBOL programs on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform supporting healthcare applications.

• Work on eligibility, billing, and claims modules, ensuring compliance with payer guidelines.

• Write and optimize DB2/400 SQL queries and CL programs for batch and interactive processing.

• Analyze complex business and technical requirements, and convert them into efficient program designs.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including performance tuning and defect fixes.

• Lead code reviews and ensure code is optimized and aligns with iSeries best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration with external systems (EDI, C:D, MQ).

• Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation.
