We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Construction Procurement Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage all procurement activities related to construction projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, equipment, and services. This role requires strong negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Strategy Development:

  2. Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and budgetary constraints.

  3. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to achieve optimal procurement outcomes.

  4. Supplier Relationship Management:

  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and vendors.

  6. Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular vendor assessments to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

  7. Contract Negotiation and Management:

  8. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and contractors.

  9. Review terms and conditions to mitigate risks and ensure favorable terms for the organization.

  10. Budget and Cost Control:

  11. Monitor procurement budgets and expenditures.

  12. Implement cost control measures and track savings achieved through effective procurement practices.

  13. Project Coordination:

  14. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.

  15. Coordinate procurement activities to support project milestones and deadlines.

  16. Compliance and Risk Management:

  17. Ensure procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

  18. Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.

  19. Team Leadership and Development:

  20. Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support.

  21. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the procurement team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred)
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or similar role in the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procurement processes, including sourcing, bidding, and contract management.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
