Job Description
The QMS Engineer, Aerospace Manufacturing will:

  • Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer-specific standards
  • Act as Management Representative and primary contact for certification bodies, customers, and regulatory audits
  • Lead internal audits and coordinate external/regulatory audit activities
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and root cause analysis through closure
  • Conduct management reviews and monitor progress toward quality objectives
  • Develop, update, and enforce quality procedures, documentation, and records management
  • Oversee document control and retention of quality records
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure quality across the product lifecycle
  • Support supplier quality and customer quality requirements as needed
  • Provide training and promote a culture of quality awareness across the organization
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the QMS and manufacturing processes
  • Perform other related duties in support of the company's quality objectives
  • Local to Salem, MA

The Successful Applicant
A successful QMS Engineer, aerospace manufacturing should have:Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace or other high-reliability manufacturing environments
  • Must have led at least one audit (internal, external, or certification)
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and related regulatory standards
  • Local to Salem, MA

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Certified Lead Auditor (AS9100 or ISO 9001)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or BlackBelt certification
  • Experience with PPAP and APQP methodologies
  • Familiarity with FAA, EASA, or DoD quality requirement
