Job Description – QC Chemist

Designation: QC Chemist

Department: Quality Control

Reporting To: QC Manager / Production Head

Job Summary

The QC Chemist is responsible for testing raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure they meet prescribed quality standards and specifications. The role ensures compliance with internal quality norms and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform quality testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods
  • Conduct chemical and physical tests as per standard procedures
  • Maintain and update quality control records, test reports, and registers
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards and specifications
  • Identify and report deviations, non-conformities, and quality issues
  • Assist in corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Follow laboratory safety, housekeeping, and SOP guidelines
  • Coordinate with production and stores for quality-related issues
  • Assist during internal and external quality audits
  • Ensure proper labeling and sample retention

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15, ₹20,000.00 per month
