We are looking for a passionate and skilled Application Engineer to join our Delhi team. The role involves customer engagement, product demonstrations, training, and technical support—helping industries adopt advanced 3D scanning and metrology solutions to improve quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical demonstrations of 3d Scanners for prospective and existing customers.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales support, including POCs, sample part evaluations, and technical presentations.
  • Deliver customer training on software and hardware usage.
  • Support customers with application development for inspection, quality checks, and reverse engineering.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, coordinating with OEM where needed.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and case studies.
  • Assist the sales team by providing technical insights during client discussions.
  • Participate in industry exhibitions, seminars, and workshops as a technical representative.

Technical Requirements – Key Skills & Concepts

Must-Have Skills (Core Requirements)

  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of basic metrology principles: measurement accuracy, uncertainty, repeatability & reproducibility (R&R).
  • Hands-on experience with 3D scanning workflows (structured light or laser scanning).
  • Proficiency in handling point cloud & mesh data (cleaning, alignment, optimization).
  • Experience with at least one 3D inspection software (GOM Inspect, PolyWorks, Geomagic Control X, or equivalent).
  • Ability to perform CAD-to-scan deviation analysis and generate inspection reports.
  • Familiarity with alignment methods (datum-based, RPS, best-fit).
  • Exposure to CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, Creo, etc.) for model interpretation.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to explain technical findings to customers.

Good-to-Have Skills (Preferred / Advantageous)

  • Experience with reverse engineering workflows (scan-to-CAD surface/solid reconstruction).
  • Knowledge of ISO / ASME standards for quality inspection and reporting.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, casting, sheet metal, injection molding).
  • Exposure to CAM/CAE tools and integration with 3D scanning data.
  • Prior experience with Zeiss, GOM, FARO, Hexagon, or Creaform scanning solutions.
  • Experience in customer-facing technical roles (pre-sales, benchmarking, POCs).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in metrology, 3D scanning, or CAD/CAM application engineering.
