Seeking an experienced Senior Validation Engineer to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance of advanced energy metering solutions based on DLMS protocols for our esteemed client. This role focuses on validation activities for smart metering devices, network communication, and cyber security in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute end to end validation of smart energy meters built on DLMS/COSEM (IEC standards.
  • Perform functional, protocol, and communication layer testing using tools like Optical Probe, RS 485, RF, GSM, 4G, and NB IoT modules.
  • Build and maintain Python based test automation scripts for repeatable validation workflows and data analysis.
  • Validate system behavior, event logs, security mechanisms, and communication performance under various field conditions.
  • Work with firmware and hardware teams to troubleshoot communication issues and verify corrective actions.
  • Review and interpret DLMS protocol requirements, map them to validation scenarios, and maintain up to date documentation.
  • Ensure cyber security compliance for smart metering devices including authentication, encryption, and secure data exchange.
  • Prepare detailed reports, validation summaries, and compliance documents for internal teams and customer deliverables.
  • Support customer teams during field trials, product certifications, and interoperability testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong hands on knowledge of

  • Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to interpret protocol traces and device logs.
  • Strong documentation and communication abilities, capable of working closely with cross functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in
