Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java & Spring Boot.
  • Build and consume REST APIs following best practices and design principles.
  • Work with PostgreSQL for database design, optimization, and queries.
  • Deploy, monitor, and manage applications on AWS.
  • Containerize and orchestrate applications using Docker (Kubernetes exposure is a plus).
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
  • Use Postman or similar tools for API testing and documentation.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver complete solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 23 years of professional experience as a Java Developer.
  • Strong knowledge of Java (8+), Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency in REST API design principles and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (queries, indexing, optimization).
  • Experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Docker (Kubernetes is a plus).
  • Experience with Postman or similar API testing tools.
  • Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and software engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Good to Have

  • Exposure to Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of message brokers (RabbitMQ, AWSIOT, Kafka, etc.).
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
