Job Description

An ABAP Developer specializes in designing, coding, and maintaining applications within the SAP ecosystem using the ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) language. This role supports SAP module customization, report generation, and system enhancements to meet evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Development

  • Design, develop, and implement ABAP programs, reports, and interfaces.

  • Customize SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI, and HR based on business requirements.

  • System Integration

  • Build and maintain interfaces using SAP PI/PO, Web Services, and RFCs.

  • Support integration with third-party systems and SAP Fiori applications.

  • Debugging & Optimization

  • Troubleshoot and debug ABAP code to ensure optimal performance.

  • Conduct code reviews and apply best practices for maintainability.

  • Documentation & Collaboration

  • Create technical specifications and maintain documentation for all developments.

  • Collaborate with functional consultants and business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.

  • Lifecycle Support

  • Participate in SAP upgrades, migrations, and patching activities.

  • Provide ongoing support for SAP implementations across regions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, and SAP NetWeaver.
  • Experience with SAP modules (e.g., MM, SD, FI) and enhancement techniques (User Exits, BADI, BAPI).
  • Familiarity with SAP HANA, Fiori/UI5, and OData services is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
